Our team combines decades of artisanal craftsmanship with modern technology to bring your vision to life. Quotes almost always returned within 1 business day. Let’s get to work!
Why Choose Local Screen Printing in Burlington?
Decades of Experience: Founded in 1981 by Wayne Turiansky, we grew from a living-room operation to a South End institution. Learn more about Our Story.
Hands-On Service: You are always welcome to visit our shop in the south end arts district to see (or try on) sample garments, view inks in person, or discuss your ideas with our friendly staff. You can also check out shirt options online, we have links to our top picks for t-shirts, sweatshirts, women’s shirts, kids’ shirts, tote bags and hats, sustainable and Made in USA items, workwear, and more!
Sustainability: Why order something from online where the shirts are getting printed in some far off land by workers who are probably being treated poorly and paid even worse, and they’re putting God only knows what type of chemicals and weird inks on the shirts. At ACW we care about our environment, which means not only the air we breathe and the lake we swim in, but also the well-being of our employees and neighbors.
Price: at the end of the day price still matters (maybe most of all) and that’s why we make sure we’re competitive with the online robots. We are smart, efficient, and nimble and can keep our costs down while still making a livable wage. We are the win-win!
In an era of "online corporate robots," ACW remains a human-first shop where you can actually talk to the people printing your shirts.
Our Professional Screen Printing Process
We’ve spent over 40 years perfecting a workflow that balances speed with unmatched quality.
Garment Selection: We carry a massive catalog of brands including Comfort Colors, Gildan, Bella+Canvas, Alternative Apparel, eConscious, Royal Apparel, and more.
Artwork Optimization: Our on-staff designer, Curt, can take your rough concepts and make them press-ready, ensuring details and colors translate perfectly onto fabric. We also have an in-house illustrator, Ben, who can draw something for you from scratch! Learn more about our Design Services.
In-House Production & Amazing Partners: All screen printing is done right here in our Burlington shop. For digital printing we source high quality transfers and press them ourselves in-house. For embroidery needs we partner with a local partner who is as top-notch and reliable as we are.
Quality Control: We inspect every garment before it leaves our 420 Pine St facility to ensure it meets our rigorous "Culture Works" standards.

We are proud to be the "go-to" printer for the local community. Whether it’s at the Fletcher Free Library or the Burlington Farmer’s Market, our shirts are there. You’ve likely seen our work at one of Burlington’s many schools and colleges (we’ve printed for them all!) or at any number of Burlington businesses over the years like Muddy Waters, Queen City Yoga, Folino’s Pizza, and the Vermont Comedy Club just to name a few. We’ve also collaborated on projects with our fellow artist neighbors like SEABA Burlington, Moth Folk Studio, Eliza-Marie Phillip, Mean Folk, and local musicians such as Mal Maiz, The Edd, Split In Half, and Only Bands Records. Some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can we visit your shop?/Where are you?? You’re absolutely welcome to drop by and visit us in person! It’s nice to let us know you’re coming ahead of time but not necessary. Someone will be here to greet you Mon-Fri, 9-5. We’re a bit tucked away so we’ve made this handy map to help you find us. Just give us a call if you’re lost and we’ll pop our head out and wave you down!
In What Format Should I Submit My Artwork? Vector artwork is always best when available. File types like .AI, .EPS, and .PDF work great. If you don’t have vector artwork, high-resolution raster files such as .PSD or .PNG may work as well. If you’re unsure whether your file will work for printing, just send it over and we’ll take a look. Our art department can also help clean up or recreate artwork if needed.
What If I Don’t Have Artwork? No problem! We can help. Whether you have a rough idea, a sketch, or just a concept, our art department can work with you to develop something that will print well and look great on apparel. We do charge for design work when significant art creation is required, but we’re happy to talk through ideas and help you figure out what will work best for your project.
What Is The Minimum Order? Our minimum order is typically 12 pieces for custom screen printing. This allows us to keep pricing reasonable and make the setup process worthwhile for everyone involved.
How Long Does An Order Take? Turnaround time varies depending on the size of the order and how busy we are, but most jobs are completed within about 1–2 weeks after artwork approval. If you have a deadline, let us know! We’ll always do our best to accommodate rush orders when possible.
Can You Help Me Choose Shirts? Absolutely. There are hundreds of garment options available and we’re happy to help you find the right one for your project. Whether you’re looking for budget-friendly basics, soft retail-style shirts, workwear, or something sustainable, we can guide you toward the best option for your needs and budget.
Do You Print On Items Other Than T-Shirts? Yes! While t-shirts are the most common item we print, we can also decorate a wide variety of apparel and accessories including:
Hoodies
Tote bags
Hats
Workwear
Performance apparel
If you have something specific in mind, just ask.
How Much Do Custom Shirts Cost? Pricing depends on a few factors, including:
garment style
number of shirts
number of ink colors
number of print locations
Because every order is different, we provide custom quotes rather than publishing prices online. Once we know the details of your project we can provide a clear quote with no surprises.
How Do I Get Started? The easiest way is to request a quote through our website or give us a call.
We’ll ask a few simple questions like:
what garment you want
how many pieces
what artwork you’d like printed
From there we’ll guide you through the process and help bring your project to life.
